Deleting a brand or your account

What gets deleted, what survives, and what happens to a brand your teammates also work in.

There are two different deletions, and they do different things. Deleting a brand removes that brand. Deleting your account removes you — which is not the same as removing everything you have ever touched, because some of it belongs to your colleagues too.

Deleting a brand

  1. 1Open the workspace switcher and choose Settings for the brand you want gone.
  2. 2Scroll to Danger zone and type DELETE to confirm.
  3. 3The brand disappears from your list immediately and stops publishing straight away.

Everything inside it goes: posts, drafts, schedules, connected accounts, uploaded and generated images, API keys, and the team's memberships. Scheduled posts are cancelled before anything they point at is removed, so nothing half-publishes on the way out. The removal happens in batches over the following minutes rather than all at once, because a mature brand has far too much to delete in a single step — if that sweep is ever interrupted it picks itself back up rather than leaving the brand half-gone.

Only the brand's owner can delete it, and it can't be undone. If you want to keep the content but stop posting, turn autopilot off and disconnect the accounts instead.

Deleting your account

Go to Billing and choose Delete my account. Before you confirm, it tells you exactly what will happen — which brands are deleted outright, which pass to a teammate, and whether a subscription is about to be cancelled. You type DELETE, and you're signed out.

  1. 1Brands nobody else is in are deleted, along with everything in them.
  2. 2Brands you share are handed to the strongest remaining member — an admin ahead of a member — and keep running without you. Your name comes off the posts inside them.
  3. 3Your profile, your memberships, and every API key you created are removed. Any key you made stops working immediately.
  4. 4Any active subscription is cancelled.

A shared brand is deliberately not destroyed when you leave — it's your colleagues' work too. If you want it gone, delete the brand first, then your account.

Disconnecting a social account

Disconnecting deletes our copy of that account's access token immediately, and we stop posting to it. We recommend also revoking access from the platform's own settings — that is the part entirely in your hands, and it's the only way to be certain no app is still holding a grant.

Facebook and Instagram

You can also ask Facebook to send us a deletion request from its own app settings. That removes what we obtained through Facebook — your Page and Instagram connections and the tokens behind them — and gives you a link to check that it happened. It does not close your JackOfAllPosts account, because revoking one integration isn't the same as leaving.

Getting a copy, or asking us instead

Deletion is self-service, but access, correction and export are not yet — email privacy@jackofallposts.app and we'll respond within 30 days. The privacy policy lists exactly what we hold, who processes it, and how long we keep it.
